WHOLE-BODY NUTRITION FOR POSTPARTUM & DEPLETED MOMS

You’ve been busy taking care of everyone else, now let’s take care of you

Online nutrition counseling for moms in Illinois & West Virginia. Whether you’re 8 weeks or 3 years in, you don’t have to keep running on empty

You’re tired, run down, wondering what happened to you

Between taking care of the kids, cooking, cleaning, and everything else that keeps a home running, you're go-go-go from morning to night. Somewhere along the way, you started feeling depleted, run down, like a woman you don’t recognize

What you’re feeling isn’t random, and it’s not a flaw in you. It’s often your body responding to needs that haven’t been met yet

Your body is actually really good at taking care of you, it just needs the right kind of support to do its job well

That's where we start.

Does this sound like you?

Depletion doesn’t only look like exhaustion, and you’ve probably been told a lot of it is “just part of motherhood.” You might be:

  • Tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix

  • Hitting a wall mid-afternoon and getting by on caffeine and snacks

  • Bloated, constipated, or having other digestive issues

  • Noticing hair shedding, dry skin, or brittle nails

  • Foggy, forgetful, or searching for words that used to come easily

  • More anxious, irritable, or struggling with rage that feels out of character for you

  • Craving sugar and carbs, and never feeling quite satisfied after you eat

  • Frustrated that your labs are “normal” when you don’t feel normal

If you nodded at a few of these, you’re in the right place. I work with moms from the first weeks postpartum to years in, because depletion can happen at any stage. Some of these symptoms can also have medical causes, so I always encourage you to keep your doctor in the loop.

How we work together

Hi there, I’m Jessica

Mom, wife, and postpartum dietitian who’s been where you are

I know this work personally. After having kids, I was dealing with symptoms that didn't add up, and no one was connecting the dots. I felt depleted, and it was one of the hardest seasons I’d been through. It wasn't until much later that I learned “depletion” isn’t just a feeling, it runs much deeper at a physiological level. I wasn't broken, and I wasn't failing at being a mom, my body’s needs just weren’t being met.

Once I started connecting my own dots, I started rebuilding my foundations and meeting those needs. I replenished what my body was missing, focused on nourishment, learned to handle stress with more ease, and leaned into community. Nutrition was where I started, but it was never the whole picture.

That’s how I work with moms now. You’ve probably heard “just take better care of yourself,” as if you’re not already doing so much. Often what helps most is doing less and starting with what your body needs most, with care that looks at everything happening in your postpartum body, not just one piece of it.

That’s the kind of care I want every mom to have
