Dietitian for moms who want to stop running on empty
Because feeling like yourself again shouldn't mean figuring it out alone, on no sleep, from advice that wasn’t written for your body.
Hi, I'm Jess
Registered dietitian, mom of 2, and a wife who's happiest when someone else makes her coffee.
After my second was born, we moved to a new city, had no family nearby, and I kept going. Because that’s what you have to do, you can’t just stop taking care of your family. Until it stopped being “just tired” and started showing symptoms in my body. I hit a low point physically, mentally, and emotionally, and the one thing I desperately wanted in that moment was for someone to help me understand what was going on, because my body felt broken and I didn't know why.
So I got quiet, and I started listening to what I was feeling, what my body was telling me, and what God was speaking over my life. And from there, I started to slowly rebuilt my foundations through food, connection, mindset, and the anchors that keep me grounded. That's why I work the way I do with the women who trust me with their stories, because I'm not here just to give you more generic advice, I'm here to help you understand what your body is asking for, so those quiet needs turn into something you can act on.
On paper, I'm a postpartum dietitian and certified functional nutrition counselor, but what I really want you to know is…
you don't need the right words, or a perfect understanding of your symptoms to start.
I completed my master's in clinical nutrition and dietetic internship at RUSH University Medical Center, I went through extensive training in functional nutrition, and my postpartum nutrition counselor certification is on the way.
All this means is I can look at your labs, your symptoms, and your story and connect the dots. But you’re the one who lives in and knows your body best, so our first two sessions are all about learning your story and where we go from there
Beyond being a Dietitian, you should probably also know that I…
Love the taste of coffee. It’s like a warm hug, just very soothing
Bring out my sewing machine from the closet at nights when I’m in the mood to make some pants for my kids
Make all 3 meals out of my kitchen almost every day
Find strong knife skills to be the biggest flex in the kitchen. It’s something I dream of for myself one day
Gamify my sleep so I actually stop working and go to bed on time
Love Jesus and am an active member at my local church
Let's work together to help you understand your body, so you can feel like yourself again and have something left for you, not just everyone else.
Because getting your body back after having kids shouldn't mean guessing alone. If you're ready to stop taking care of everyone but yourself, I'm here to help.
